   HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CLEAN THE AIR DUCTS?

It depends on the size of the home and the placement of the ducts, but in general homes up to 3000 square feet can be finished in no more than half a day. Larger homes may take longer. If the floor registers are not flat in the floor but are in the baseboard, it often takes longer.

DO I HAVE TO LEAVE THE HOME WHEN YOU APPLY THE ANTIMICROBIAL?

No, we use a product that is safe for humans and pets. It is frequently used in hospitals and nursing homes. It helps to control bacteria and mold spores.

WILL THE AIR DUCT CLEANING CREATE A LOT OF DUST?

No, our procedures do a good job of controlling dust. The Rotobrush® machine contains a bag filter and two HEPA filters that collect the dust. If the registers are in the floor, there is very little dust created. If they are in the ceiling, a small amount of dust will fall, but we place large towels to protect surfaces below, and vacuum any dust.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD AIR DUCTS BE CLEANED?

The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) recommends having your air ducts cleaned every 3 to 5 years, depending on various factors.

COULD I CLEAN THE AIR DUCTS MYSELF?

No. Attempting to clean the ductwork of your home can be harmful to you and your HVAC system. This process should only be handled by qualified technicians. The Clean Machine has the expertise and certified equipment to remove dust, debris and allergens from your air ducts and HVAC system.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REPLACE MY AIR FILTER?

We recommend every three to five months.

IS YOUR PRESSURE WASHING SAFE FOR THE PAINTED SURFACE OF MY HOME?

Absolutely. We do not use high pressure on the home but rather stand back a distance from the home to gently apply the cleaning solution, give it some dwell time, then rinse. We also rinse plants in the landscape before and after to be sure they are safe.

WHY SHOULD I CLEAN MY WINDOWS?

Allowing dirt and grime to accumulate on our windows can cause more damage than we think. Caked-on dirt can cause discoloration and permanently damage the opacity of the glass, leaving you with windows that always look a bit dirty, even if they are clean. This may also make your house look older and run down.

If the glass becomes weakened over time due to dirt, grime, and even salt from harsh winters, it can be more susceptible to breaking. If left uncleaned, the seals around the window frames could also be impacted, causing air leaks, fogging, and condensation that can negatively impact your energy bills and can cause mold problems.
